Gary Zuhoski of Cutchogue died suddenly at his home March 20, 2016. He was 57.
Born in Greenport Oct. 20, 1958, to Lucille and John Zuhoski, he was predeceased by his father and his brother-in-law, Lewis Eastwood. He is survived by his mother; brothers, John (Theresa) of Bay Shore and Michael (Geraldine), David, Steven (Kristen), all of Cutchogue; sisters, Laurie Steiner (Jack) of Southold, Sharon, of Middle Island, Anne Lasota (Wesley) of Cutchogue and Lisa Eastwood of Riverhead. He is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Those closest to Gary know that he was always the life of the party. Gary loved the outdoors, especially fishing with his family and friends. He always came home with the biggest fish in the Sound (at least according to him).
As committed as he was to his family, he was equally as passionate about his job, working over 30 years in the sod farm industry. He is loved by many and will be missed by all.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, March 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, officiated by Monsignor Joseph Staudt. Interment took place at Sacred Heart R.C. Church Cemetery in Cutchogue.
This is a paid notice.
