Gary Zuhoski left this world all too soon and sadness enveloped many. The heartbreaking news of the passing of Frank McBride followed. Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to the Zuhoski and McBride families and friends for their loss.
The Cutchogue Homemakers will make a day trip Tuesday, April 26, to the Bayard Cutting Mansion in Oakdale for a high tea luncheon. Bus pickups will be in Cutchogue and Riverhead. The day also includes a tour of the mansion manor house and a snack on the bus. The total cost is $99 per person. Call Mary Pedersen at 631-765-9243 for more information.
The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild in Cutchogue welcomes author-illustrator Olivia Bouler, a talented artist and aspiring ornithologist, who at age 11 raised $200,000 to support recovery from the BP oil spill by donating her drawings of birds. Olivia will give a workshop for young people at the guild Saturday, April 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a book signing and reception until 5 p.m. An exhibit of her photographs and illustrations celebrating our natural world and local wildlife will be on display the weekends of April 16-17 and 23-24. The Mattituck High School jazz band traveled to Jazz at Lincoln Center recently to take part in a master class with clinician Paul Nedzela. The excitement continued with a tour of the facilities, a performance by two Juilliard jazz combo groups at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola and a walk through Central Park. The band looks forward to showing the community what they learned at their spring concert May 12!

Cutchogue East’s third-grade chorus sang “An African Suite” by Orff at their Music in the Schools Month afternoon performance. Congratulations on what was hopefully the first of many wonderful performances!
