Photos: Learning about wildlife at Downs Farm in Cutchogue
Reptiles, mammals and birds were at Downs Farm Preserve & Nature Center in Cutchogue Saturday afternoon where children learned about wildlife.
Group for the East End and Quogue Wildlife Refuge presented a bearded dragon, African spurred tortoise and others.
After a short introduction of each animal, environmental educator Renee Allen encouraged children to interact closely with the animals.
Many children also posed with Hooter, a great horned owl.
