Hundreds of people gathered in Mattituck Thursday night for the well-loved tradition of strawberry hulling night.
Each person was given a box of strawberries and a large straw to assist them in removing the stems and getting the berries ready for cleaning, sorting and ultimately eating.
This year’s festival continues this weekend with arts and crafts, live music, food vendors, carnival rides and games of chance, crowning of Strawberry Festival Queen, fireworks, strawberry shortcake and much more.
