Cops: Man charged with forcibly touching teen at festival

A Mattituck man was arrested Friday and charged with grabbing a woman’s buttocks and causing a disturbance at the Mattituck Strawberry Festival, according a Southold Town police press release.

Thomas Talbot, 20, was intoxicated and reportedly “grabbed an 18-year-old female’s buttocks and made a verbal threat to another person” around 11 p.m., the release states.

During the police investigation, Mr. Talbot caused a disturbance in the crowded festival and struggled with officers, officials said.

He was charged with forcible touching, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment, police said.
