Southold Town and the nonprofit group Community Action Southold Town have teamed up to bring computer training to the masses.
The town’s Human Resource Center is the home of CAST’s mobile computer lab, where senior citizens and residents can learn how to use computers.
“Through a grant from a private donor, CAST has been able to hold computer training classes for the past year to help give their clients the necessary skills to join the work force and be able to become self-sufficient,” said Denis Noncarrow, president of CAST and government liaison officer for the town.
But don’t worry if you or a loved one missed out on the training. Those programs are still available, Mr. Noncarrow said. Anyone interested in taking part in the class can register by calling the CAST office at 631-477-1717.
