Eastern Long Island Hospital announced that its annual summer gala, themed “Under the Tuscan Sky,” on Aug. 13 raised over $285,000.

ELIH CEO Paul Connor said the total was a record. He said in a press release that with a sold out crowd of 560 guests, the hospital raised “much-needed funds to keep healthcare local.”

The party was hosted by Lynda and Anthony Lomangino of Cutchogue. Gala guests enjoyed entertainment by Frank Sinatra impersonator Eddie Sessa, food prepared by Long Island chef Tom Schaudel and a fireworks display.

Highlights of the evening also included a live auction, silent auction, luxury raffle prizes and a grand prize raffle provided by Strong’s Marine for a deluxe excursion for six aboard a yacht, according to a press release sent out by the hospital.

“I am grateful to all my friends who came out to support this worthwhile cause and to all of the local businesses who donated in-kind services,” Mr. Lomangino said. “It was truly a community effort.”
