Frederick Schaeffler III

Frederick Schaeffler III of Southold died Sept. 12 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue at the age of 87.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Southold American Legion services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place during the evening hours. The Rev. Bob Griffin officiated. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m.  Thursday, Sept. 15 for interment with U.S. Navy honors at Calverton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Kanas Center for Hospice Care would be appreciated.
