Michael Lalli

Michael Lalli of Orient died Nov. 8 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. He was 91. 

The son of Elisa (Agnone) and Nicola Lalli, he was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Greenport.

Mr. Lalli served in the U.S. Navy for three years, achieving the rank of pharmacist’s mate third class and receiving the American Theater and Victory medals for his service.

For 30 years, he was the owner of L&C Dental Lab in White Plains.

On Oct. 7, 1950, he married Berit at Mount Carmel Church in White Plains.

Mr. Lalli was a member of the Local Musicians Union 38 of Westchester County and the Local Musicians Union 802 of New York City.

Family members said he enjoyed playing string bass, gardening, spending time with family, fishing, nature, sailing, bicycling, skating and doing projects around the house.

Predeceased by his five siblings, Joseph, Fred, Ricky, Odie and Antoinette, Mr. Lalli is survived by his wife, Berit; his daughters, Kristine, Karen and Kathi and three grandsons.

A funeral service took place at Nov. 10 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greenport, officiated by Pastor Garret Johnson. Burial followed at Orient Central Cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport.
