Jean Schupp

Jean Schupp of Southold died May 16. She was 80.

She was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Brooklyn to Philip and Jennifer Calabrese and was a graduate of Central Islip High School.

On Oct. 6, 1962, she married Gordon P. Schupp at St. John of God in Central Islip.

Formerly of Brooklyn, Brentwood and North Babylon, she had been a receptionist for AIG and more recently, worked with Lori Guyer of White Flower Farmhouse of Southold.

In her free time, she enjoyed the beach, sewing, antiques and her twice yearly visits to Vermont.

Her true loves were her granddaughters, recalled family members.

Surviving are a son, Gordon P. Schupp Jr. of Rocky Point; a daughter, Valerie Paul of Westlake, Ohio; two brothers: Gerard Calabrese of Central Islip and Thomas Calabrese of Cape Coral, Fla.; two granddaughters: Sophia Paul and Kaylee Schupp and nephews, Tommy and Steven Calabrese.

The family received visitors May 18 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where funeral services were held. Interment took place May 19 at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Southold.
