Arthur A. Balducci

Arthur “Art” Albert Balducci, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 4, surrounded by his family. He was 79.

Art was born on March 6, 1939, in Hinsdale, Ill., to Albert and Irene Balducci. As he started what would be a lifelong career as a small business owner, he married the love of his life, Trudy Jean Fenili, on Oct. 23, 1965.

Art called the North Fork home for the past 21 years, and was the co-owner of Ivy League Flowers & Gifts in Southold, along with his wife Trudy and daughter Ginger.

Predeceased by his bride Trudy in 2016, Art is survived by five children: Tim (Jill) of Decatur, Ill., Kevin (Peg) of Eureka, Ill., Randy of Jersey City, N.J.,  Ginger Tomaszewski (Jim) of Southold, and Jeff (Tara) of Ft. Myers, Fla.; 10 grandchildren: Kaleigh, Amanda, Jacob, Shane, Michaela, Abigail, Natalie, Maddie, Trent and Trista; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors on July 7 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where religious services were officiated by the Rev. Dr. Peter J. Kelley.

Arrangements were in the care of DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold.
