Joseph G. Wills Jr.

Joseph G. Wills Jr. of Brooklyn and Greenport died at the home of his son, Joseph G. Wills III, in Hendersonville, Tenn., on February 6, 2012. He was 67 years old.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph G. Wills Sr. and Doris Hylind Wills. Raised in Manhasset, he served in the U.S. Army with a 30-year career as a recruiter.

A longtime resident of Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, he has been a part-time resident of Greenport for many years.

Predeceased on August 10, 1996, by his wife, Pamela Wills, he leaves his son, Joseph G. Wills III, his wife, Sandrine, and their three children, Ian, Jessica and Jacob; and his brothers, James, Richard and Christopher. He was also predeceased by a sister, Maryann Wills.

The family received friends February 12 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated February 13 at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport with Monsignor Ronald Richardson officiating. Interment, with U.S. Army honors, was at Calverton National Cemetery.
