Effie Harriet Mott Bozeman

Effie Harriet Mott Bozeman, 85, of Butylo, Va., a former longtime resident of East Marion, N.Y., died Thursday, March 1, 2012. She was a devoted wife and mother and was actively involved with the Girl Scouts organization for 50 years. She also was an original member of Club 10.

Effie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Bozeman Sr., and a granddaughter, Jennifer Simcik. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth A. Stokes of Tappahannock, Va., Harriet L. Campbell of Criglersville, Va., Robin V. Simcik of East Marion and Joseph W. Bozeman Jr. of Butylo; one brother, Harry D. Mott of Norwich, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Marion Fire Department. Arrangements were handled by Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock.
