Helen G. Mitchel

Helen G. Mitchel died April 23 at her home in Southold. She was 57.

She was born Jan. 12, 1955, in Ridgewood, Queens, to Frank and Grace Wagenbrenner.

Family members said she was a Yankee fan and enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery and reading.

Predeceased by her father in 1986, Ms. Mitchel is survived by her mother and her sister, Nancy Raftery, both of Southold.

Visiting hours will take place Friday, April 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greenport. Cremation will be private.

Donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter.
