Lois Rodman Golder

Lois Rodman Golder, 92, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at St. Clare Home, Newport, R.I.

She was born Feb. 5, 1920, to Louis and Ellen Rodman of Brooklyn, N,Y. She married William E. Golder, a former Naval officer, charter boat captain and pharmacist, in 1940. The couple made their home in Southold, N.Y., where they raised four children.

Mrs. Golder enjoyed playing bridge with friends, gardening and fishing with her family on the “Lucky Girl,” the Golders’ 38-foot sport fishing craft. Her family often noted with pride that she was likely to catch the first fish, the last fish and the most fish on a typical outing.

Golder and Linda Leslie, and Richard L. and Allison Golder; and three grandchildren, Richard, Christopher and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Golder, and her son William R. Golder.
