Richard M. Lightcap

Richard M. Lightcap, 77, of Palm Coast, Fla., passed away July 8, 2012, at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach.

Richard was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to Florida seven years ago from Sag Harbor, N.Y., where he owned a resource marketing company. Richard served his country as a United States Army Reservist and received his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Boston, Mass. Richard enjoyed fishing and being with people.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gail; sons Jeffery and his wife, Jane, of Plandome, N.Y., and Scott and his wife, Debbie, of Roseburg, Ore.; daughter Jill Miller and her husband, William, of Andover, N.J.; brother, Kenneth, of Bridgewater, Conn.; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Marylin Moore.

The family will have a private burial at sea at a later date in Sag Harbor. Arrangements were entrusted to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations in Palm Coast.
