David J. McElroy

David J. McElroy, 53, died Aug. 19, 2012.

A resident of Orient, formerly of Sayville, N.Y., he will be missed beyond words. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He always put his family first, especially all seven of his children. He will be truly missed by everyone he touched in his life.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa; his children, Jenna, Dana, David, Kaitlin, James, Sean and Brianna; his parents, Martin and Carolyn, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Sayville; his brothers, Michael, of California, and James and his wife, Cathy, of Yaphank; his sister, Cathleen, and her husband, Ronald Marchese, of Bayport; and his in-laws, Fran and Ken Neubeck of Patchogue and Brian and JoAnna Versaci of Orlando, Fla.

Friends and family will gather Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Bayport-Blue Point Funeral Home in Bayport. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence R.C. Church in Sayville, followed by interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
