There’s no doubt about it: Southold’s Got Talent.

At the school auditorium on Friday night, Southold students lit up the stage with their considerable musical abilities. Eleven acts sang and played instruments to the delight of an enthusiastic audience. Several of the songs were original compositions written and performed by the students themselves. (more…)

The Greenport High School Drama Club presents the musical comedy “Once Upon a Mattress” in the auditorium at Greenport School this week. Based on the fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea,” this hilarious adaptation features music by Mary Rodgers and lyrics by Marshall Barer. (more…)

Greenport Fire Department held its 170th Washington’s Birthday parade downtown on Saturday afternoon.

As flurries began to fall and the weather turned bitter cold, volunteers from fire departments all over Long Island made their way up Front Street to the cheers of onlookers. (more…)

A celebration honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was held Monday at the Clinton Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Greenport.

Volunteers served community members free dinners with all the fixings and an assortment of desserts.
