Three years ago, Bob Zimardo had a pair of 20-mile cycling routines.
Some days he’d leave his second home in Greenport and head east to Orient, taking in the sights along the way.
The fitness enthusiast’s other scenic route ran along Soundview Avenue in Southold, where he’d turn onto Hortons Lane to head back toward his home on Sixth Street.

One of the concerns raised about Southold Town is the lack of opportunities for the younger generation to make a living. Indeed, I agree that there are limitations, but it might be good to recognize some young people who are truly entrepreneurs. (more…)

In honor of Heart Awareness Month, a small group of women gathered at Fitness Advantage in Southold last Sunday to knit and crochet red scarves for the Women Heart project, which distributes scarves to female heart patients as a show of care and concern. (more…)
