The Greenport High School Class of 2017 celebrated its graduation Sunday afternoon. Angelina Pagano addressed the students as valedictorian and Toni Esposito spoke as the salutatorian.
2010 Greenport graduate Alexander Angelson, who earlier this year had been appointed special assistant to President Donald Trump on legislative affairs, was the commencement speaker.

The Mattituck High School Class of 2017 celebrated its graduation Saturday morning. Principal Shawn Petretti announced that over $88,000 in scholarships would be distributed during the commencement ceremony at Mattituck High School. READ

Southold High School graduated its 109th class on Saturday, with 94 percent of this year’s grads going on to further education.
Valedictorian Julia Saccamano and salutatorian Emily Pressler both spoke to the crowd at the high school.

The Class of 2015 at Bishop McGann-Mercy High School celebrated and said goodbye Wednesday evening during the graduation liturgy and commencement ceremony.
Valedictorian Elison Louis of Mastic and salutatorian Magdalena Duda of Riverhead addressed the student body and the school’s chaplain, Reverend Gerald Cestare, presided over the ceremony. Principal Carl Semmler and assistant principal Lisa Navarra presented academic honors and the diplomas were conferred by Bishop William Murphy.
The Class of 2015 featured students from as far east as Montauk and Greenport and as far west as Patchogue and Port Jefferson. The students received more than $12.4 million in scholarship offers; 100 percent of graduates will be pursuing post secondary studies or serving in the military, the school said.

• Marisa Fedele of New Suffolk and Kyle Simcik of East Marion have been named to the spring dean’s list at The College of Saint Rose in Albany.
• Niki Benedetto, Mattituck High School Class of 2010, has graduated magna cum laude from the Antoinette Westphal School of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University in Philadelphia, earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic design with minors in art history and fine arts. (more…)
