The Southold and Greenport high school drama clubs will present their third joint production, “Don’t Drink the Water,” Friday to Sunday, Oct. 24 to 26. The classic Woody Allen comedy will be performed in Southold’s district auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.  (more…)

The Southold and Greenport High School drama clubs will present ‘The 39 Steps,’ an Alfred Hitchcock spoof adapted by Patrick Barlow at Greenport High School beginning Friday night at 7 p.m.

The production is directed by Casey Rooney and Jessica Ellwood. Tickets are $10 or $6 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at Southold Free Library, the Greenport High School main office or at the door.

The show runs through Sunday. Saturday’s show is 7 p.m. and Sunday is 2 p.m.

The Greenport High School drama club will present the Broadway musical fable “Guys and Dolls” by Frank Loesser, Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows beginning tonight at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium on Front Street. The show will also run Friday at Saturday, weather permitting. General admission is $10 and is $8 for students and seniors.

Playing the leading roles are John Drinkwater as Sky Masterson, Wendy Peterson as Sarah Brown, Peter Peterson as Nathan Detroit and Briana Pagano as Adelaide.

Also this weekend, the Mattituck High School Musical Theater Company will present the musical “Once Upon a Mattress” at 7:30 p.m. beginning tonight in the high school auditorium on Main Road. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the door. The show will also run Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.

Brette Rosen plays Winnifred, an unusual princess, in the comic retelling of “The Princess and the Pea.” Children are invited to come early each night, around 7, to have their picture taken with the princesses in the cast.

Southold and Greenport High School students teamed up for the first time to present a fall comedy, “Trixie, Teen Detective and they Mystery of Gravestead Manor,” which is a spoof on the Nancy Drew mysteries.

The drama clubs will put on their first performance tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Southold District Auditorium. Additional performances are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10 or $6 for students and seniors. They’re on sale at Southold Pharmacy, the Southold Free LIbrary, Southold and Greenport High Schools and at the door.
