J.M.Barrie is best known for creating Neverland and that boy who would never grow up, but he had amassed a full complement of works during his life (including an opera he wrote with Arthur Conan Doyle). “Dear Brutus” offers some of the whimsy and wistfulness of “Peter Pan” and this sweet play is currently being given an engaging presentation by Northeast Stage.  (more…)

Something wonderful is growing in Greenport! Northeast Stage, now 30 years old, has been quietly building a body of exceptional work, presenting both classic and modern plays in the Holy Trinity Church hall during the winter and free Shakespearean performances in Greenport’s Mitchell Park in the summer. That’s how actress Peg Murray described the past three decades for local theater group Northeast Stage, which celebrated its 30th anniversary Friday night with a Masquerade Gala and fundraiser at Brecknock Hall in Greenport. (more…)
