A 52-year-old Cutchogue man was arrested on a drunken driving charge early Tuesday after his vehicle was stopped by police on Main Road, Southold Town police said.

Gregory Burns was pulled over about 12:30 a.m. near Stillwater Avenue in Cutchogue, after he was observed to be swerving out of his lane in a 2000 Chevy Astro van, police said.

Police performed roadside sobriety tests and found Mr. Burns was drunk at the time, officials said. He was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and was being held for a morning arraignment, police said.
