Local residents known as “Sam’s Heroes” came together Saturday afternoon to shave their heads in solidarity and support of 5-year-old Greenporter Sam Duffy who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last year.
On March 28, 2015, Greenport resident Holly Lanzetta received the news every parent fears: Her young son, Sam Duffy, had acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
