An East Marion man lost control of his car while driving drunk and crashed into a storm drain in Cutchogue early Monday, Southold Town police said.

Police said 25-year-old Esteban Rodriguez crashed into the median while driving on Route 48 just west of Cox Lane about 2:10 a.m. He was then interviewed at the scene by Southold police, who determined he was intoxicated at the time of the crash, police said.

He was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and ticketed for driving without a license, police said.

Marilyn Flynn has no regrets.

Less than 24 hours after her arrest and subsequent interrogation, the 84-year-old was calm while recounting the ordeal as she sat at her dining room table Friday morning.

A 53-year-old Southold man was arrested on drug charges Friday, Southold police said.

Officers stopped Gary Viglione on Jacobs Lane in Southold about 10 a.m. for driving an unregistered vehicle without a license, according to police.

Upon future investigation, an officer found an unlabeled pill bottle containing Vicodin, a prescription pain killer, police said.

Mr. Viglione was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, driving an unregistered vehicle and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a police report.

He was transported to headquarters to be processed, police said.

A Northport woman was arrested Monday night in Mattituck on drunken driving charges, Southold Town police said.

Karen Oneill, 48, was driving a 2004 Hyundai westbound on Route 25 in Mattituck and was pulled over about 12:30 a.m. near Mill Road, officials said.

Police pulled her over for failing to stay in her lane and she was charged with aggravated DWI and failure to maintain designated lane, police said.

She was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, officials said.

Two Southold Town residents were arrested for driving while intoxicated Thursday, according to Southold police.

Wendy Chapman, 59, of Peconic was arrested following a single-car crash around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Skunk Lane and Eugene Road in Cutchogue, police said.

Upon further investigation Ms. Chapman was found to be intoxicated and driving without a license, police said.

She was arrested, transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment.

Around the same time Thursday, officers stopped Ovidio Giron, 39 of Southold on Route 25 in Mattituck for failing to maintain his lane, police said.

Upon further investigation Mr. Giron was found intoxicated with an open alcoholic beverage in his car, police said.

Mr. Giron also did not have a valid driver’s license, according to a police report.

He was arrested, transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment.

A Greenport man was arrested Friday for the second time in one week, this time for driving with a suspended license, according to Southold Town Police.

Around 6:30 a.m. Rudy Elias, 33, was stopped for speeding on Route 48 in Peconic, police said.

Mr. Elias was found to have a suspended license in connection to his arrest earlier this week on DWI charges, police said. He was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

He was taken to headquarters and released on bail and is to return to court at a later date.
