Robert Jessup, 62, of Laurel was charged with driving while intoxicated on Saturday at 12:13 a.m. after police stopped him for failing to stay in his lane after his vehicle struck a crosswalk sign on Route 25 in Cutchogue, police said.
* Maryann Walsh, a 36-year-old homeless woman, was charged with disorderly conduct last Wednesday at 7:26 p.m. in Greenport, after police responded to a complaint of an intoxicated female running in and out of the roadway on Route 25 in the village, police said. The officer on the scene located Ms. Walsh walking in the middle of the roadway and drinking beer from a 24-ounce can, said police.
* Sidney Tubb, 94, of Southold was driving a 1998 Mercedes west on Route 25 in Southold on Saturday, April 10, at 12:25 p.m., when he hit the back of a 2009 Dodge pickup truck driven by Jonas Graseck, 35, of Southold, police said. Mr. Graseck was stopped in the roadway to turn left into a gas station, and Mr. Tubb told police that he failed to see that the vehicle had stopped, police said. Mr. Graseck was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital for evaluation by members of the Southold Fire Department, police said.
* Boleslaus Kutz, 79, of Laurel was driving a 2008 Chevy north on Laurel Avenue in Laurel last Wednesday at 12:19 p.m. when he struck a 2006 Chevy pickup truck driven by Andre Vega, 31, of Riverhead, police said. Mr. Kutz failed to yield to Mr. Vega, who was heading east on Route 25, police said. There were no injuries, said police.
* Jessica Hunter, 23, of Southold was driving a 2008 Jeep west on Route 25 in Cutchogue last Tuesday at 11:43 a.m., when she swerved to avoid an animal that had run in front of her vehicle, and she hit a utility pole, police said. Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department responded to the scene, and Ms. Hunter refused treatment, police said.
Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
