Elsie C. Pantaleo

Mrs. Elsie C. (Stair) Pantaleo departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

A former resident of Cutchogue, Mrs. Pantaleo was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Stetson) Prezioso and devoted wife of the late Dominick Pantaleo.

Mrs. Pantaleo belonged to several organizations that included Raritan, the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion and The Rock Hill Moose Lodge No. 1720. She was a bus driver for over 30 years for the Mattituck-Cutchogue and Riverhead school districts.

She will be truly missed by her five children, Ronald K. Stair of Port Jefferson Station; Cheryl Stair of East Hampton; Pam Young of Aquebogue; Brenda Lindquist of Norfolk, Va.; Karla Walker of York, S.C.; eight grandchildren and a host of dear friends that she seemed to make wherever she went.

In addition to her mother, father and husband, Mrs. Pantaleo was preceded in death by her special grandson, Justin Picher.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place in Myrtle Beach later in the year.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Lake Wylie Retirement and Assisted Living as well as Regency Hospice. The incredible love and care you bestowed on our mother was not only a Godsend but also an amazing testament of your dedication to those you care for. You will never know how much it meant to our mother as well as to us.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Regency Hospice, 420 S. Herlong Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
