The North Fork Community Theatre production of the Harvey Schmidt/Tom Jones musical ‘110 in the Shade’ will debut Thursday, May 13, and run Thursday-Sunday through May 30.
Based on Richard Nash’s ‘The Rainmaker,’ the musical is set in the drought-stricken western hometown of spinster Lizzie Curry. But things start to change when a mysterious stranger arrives, promising to conjure life-giving rain.
Directed by Dee Martin with musical director Jeffrey Wentz, the cast includes Kelli Baumann, James Stevens, Rusty Kransky, Terrance Fiore, Stephen D’Amico, Nicholas Troisi, Ivy Croteau, Bob Beodeker, Jacob Boergesson, Abbey Clark, Susan Ehlers, Erin McKenna, Marguerite Volonts and Daniel Yaiullo. The producer is Marion Stark.
