Carol Ratsey Warner Arnold

Carol Ratsey Warner Arnold passed on March 17, 2010, in Vero Beach, Fla. She was the daughter of William Elwell Campbell and Isabel Mae McKinney. She was 84.

Born in Brooklyn, she was predeceased by husbands Colin Ernest Ratsey, W. Rolf Warner and William Arnold. Before relocating to Vero Beach, Carol lived and raised a family in Rye, N.Y.

She divided her time between volunteer work in the community and her creative pursuits, which included decorating, needlepoint and gardening. Over the years, her home was always filled with family, friends and business associates who enjoyed her love of cooking and entertaining.

Carol is survived by her children, Jane Ratsey Williams and Colin D. Ratsey, both of Greenport, Cynthia Campbell Young of Port Chester, N.Y., and Scott C. Ratsey of Vero Beach, Fla. She also had eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her joy for life, the family will celebrate Carol’s life with a ceremony in late spring at Rye Presbyterian Church, where her mother is buried, and with a beach party in Greenport during the summer.
