It was standing room only at Southold Presbyterian Church on Friday night as the Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja presented ‘What Killed Marcelo Lucero?’ a bi-lingual theatrical depiction of the social and political issues experienced by Long Island immigrants, using the murder of Equadoran immigrant Marcelo Lucero in Patchogue in 2008 as a backdrop. His killer, Jeffrey Conroy, was convicted of manslaughter as a hate crime last week. See the April 29 edition of The Suffolk Times for complete coverage of the performance.
