Southold Police Report

Tadeusz Wojciechowski, 54, of Southold was charged with driving while intoxicated on Friday at 12:20 p.m., after police stopped him for failing to negotiate a curve, leaving the road and striking a tree as he drove south on Main Bayview Road in Southold in a 2005 GMC van, police said. Members of the Southold Fire Department transported Mr. Wojciechowski to Eastern Long Island Hospital for evaluation, police said. He was arraigned in the hospital and released on his own recognizance, said police.

* Robert Giliberti, 61, of Baldwin was charged with menacing on Saturday at 6:02 a.m., after he threatened two youths with a Chinese Dao sword on Indian Neck Lane in Peconic, police said. Police reported that Mr. Giliberti chased the juveniles down the block after seeing them pick flowers from the front yard of a house on Indian Neck Lane.

* Megan White, 24, of Copiague was driving a 1997 Chrysler on Route 48 in Cutchogue last Wednesday at 6:25 p.m. — and on her cell phone at the time — when she entered the intersection of Route 48 and Depot Lane and failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2001 Ford driven by Christine Glenn, 43, of Southold, police said. The Ford then hit the Chrysler, police said. Both drivers were taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital by members of the Cutchogue Fire Department for evaluation, said police.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
