‘Maddonari’ artist Joanne Giveron of East Patchogue works on a street painting in front of Atlantis Marine World last Saturday afternoon to promote the East End Arts Council’s 14th annual Riverhead Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival. The event takes place this Sunday, May 30, from noon to 5 p.m. on East Main Street – and Ms. Giveron will be there, as she has been every year since the festival began. See calendar for details.

* Studio East Gallery in Greenport has issued a call for artists for ‘Small Works,’ a show featuring works no more than 16 by 20 inches, which will run June 11-25. Pieces can be dropped off on June 3 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the gallery’s Miller Place location or June 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. and June 5 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Greenport location. Call 477-2676.

* Mattituck-Laurel Library will display photography by Mary Bares-Tubridy during the month of June in a show titled ‘Nature Revisited,’ featuring images from nature in early stages of development.

* Acrylic paintings by Southold artist Pat Olstad will be featured at Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue during June.

* Terra cotta wall reliefs with a landscape theme by Dorothy Frankel are on display at the Old Mill Inn in Mattituck. An opening reception will be held Saturday, June 5, from 4 to 6 p.m.
