Joseph C. Ciamaricone

Joseph C. Ciamaricone of Mattituck died on May 11, 2010, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. He was 55 years old and a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Ciamaricone was born in Wilmington, Del., on March 28, 1955, to Samuel and Olga (nà e Harasymczuk) Ciamaricone.

On July 30, 1988, he married Janet Gasser in Dix Hills. He had been a resident of Mattituck for the past 21 years and was a member of Mattituck Presbyterian Church and the Knights of Columbus-Marian Council No. 3852 of Cutchogue.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; five children, Nicole (John) Bell of Texas and Charity, Daniel, Casey and Emily Ciamaricone, all of Mattituck; four grandchildren, Jannaye, Jonnessa, Jasmine and Jillian Bell, all of Texas; and his father, Samuel Ciamaricone of Newark, Del. He was predeceased by his mother, Olga, and brother, Samuel.

Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Audrey Gasser of Melville; sister-in-law, Diane (Peter) Jones of Rye, N.Y.; brothers-in-law, Louis (Esther) Gasser and children Janine, Greg, Christine and Corrine of Sea Cliff, N.Y., and Michael (Barbara) Gasser and children Eric and Natalie of Freehold, N.J.; and many cousins in Delaware.

The family received friends Friday, May 14, at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where the Knights of Columbus held services. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 15, at Mattituck Presbyterian Church by the Rev. George Gaffga. Interment was at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
