Antoinette Marie Rambo

Antoinette Marie Rambo of Mattituck died on May 6 at her home. She was 85.

Ms. Rambo, known as Marie, was born in Mineola Dec. 12, 1924, to Andrew and Annabelle (Dougherty) Hoffman. She and her family moved to Mattituck when she was a child.

She attended local schools and married Frederick Rambo.

A volunteer at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Thrift Shop, she also enjoyed traveling, reading and music.

Predeceased by her husband in 1991, two sisters and a brother, she is survived by her children, Frederick Jr. and Harry, both of Florida, Sonny Frank, of Southampton and Florida, and Marie Drake of Mattituck; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery under the direction of DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck.
