Dr. Michael Catapano is a board certified urgent care specialist with over 30 years of emergency medical experience treating children and adults.

Stat Health offers “a quick ‘in and out’ solution for simple medical issues such as sore throats, bee stings, poison ivy, tick bites, splinters, urinary tract infections, asthma flare-ups, skin rashes and other relatively minor ailments that need immediate attention and treatment,” according to Karen Catapano.

Dr. Catapano also specializes in urgent care for children, so they can be treated for a variety of childhood illnesses without having to wait for appointment.

The Cutchogue facility houses a state-of-the-art digital x-ray that allows patients to view images on a screen with the physician. CDs with the images can be made so patients can have them to follow up with specialists if needed. “The office also offers a fully equipped laboratory and blood draw station, EKG, nebulizer treatments and a suture/casting room for more serious lacerations and fractures,” said Ms. Catapano.

The office is staffed with board certified emergency physicians, and most insurance plans are accepted.

Stat Health is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Walk-in patients are seen on a first come, first served basis. Visit the website at stathealthny.com.
