Emily Borkowski

Former Cutchogue resident Emily Borkowski of Stony Point, N.C., died June 18. She was 79.

She was born Oct. 16, 1930, to Charles and Emily Mileska and raised in Mattituck. She graduated Mattituck High School and married William Borkowski.

Primarily a homemaker, she was a member of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue and enjoyed painting.

Predeceased by her husband and sons William and David, she is survived by her children Joan Akscin and Martin, both of Statesville, N.C., Lawrence, of Charlotte, N.C., and Michael, of Mattituck; and nine grandchildren.

Family received visitors June 20 at Chapman Funeral Home in Stony Point, N.C. Funeral services were held June 21 at Holy Trinity Catholic Mission in Melbane, N.C. Interment was at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
