WORTH NOTING Toga, toga, toga!

Shakespeare under summer skies returns to Greenport’s Mitchell Park Friday-Sunday, Aug. 6-8, with Northeast Stage’s production of “Julius Caesar.” Showtime each night is 7 p.m., but many turn up early with blankets, lawn chairs, coolers and picnic hampers to grab a prime spot on the harborside lawn and enjoy an al fresco dinner beforehand.

The large cast of local actors will be directed by A.D. Newcomer and will perform against a backdrop mural by Robert Pereida. Also featured are costumes by Joan Chambers, original music by Kevin Twigg and fight choreography by Alan Stewart and Joseph Winchell.

If it rains, the performance will move to Greenport High School. Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
