Sue Brown Morgan

Sue Brown Morgan, 74, of Star, N.C., died July 14, 2010, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 17, at Star United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Kay Boone and the Rev. Vance Lowe officiating.

Visitation was held at the church prior to the service.

Ms. Morgan was the wife of the late Dr. Donald O’Quinn Morgan; the mother of Ernest A. Morgan (Kelly Morgan) and Margaret L. Morgan (Derrell Hall); and the grandmother of Donald P. Morgan, Madeline C. Morgan and Jackson Morgan Hall.

She was a graduate of Marietta High School, Marietta, Ga., and the University of Georgia. She spent the early part of her career as a teacher.

As a long-term resident of Cutchogue, she taught for many years at the Ecumenical Nursery School. In later years, she worked as a paralegal for the Sanford Holshouser Law Firm in Pinehurst, N.C. She was a member of the Halcyon Woman’s Club.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, her siblings Betty Chapman, James Brown and Charlene Patrick survive her.
