Southold man caught boozing and boating

A 60-year-old Southold man was charged with boating while intoxicated after he was stopped for violating the Greenport Harbor speed limit, Southold Police said.
William Boyles of Hiawathis Path was stopped shortly after 6 :30 p.m. because he was operating his boat in excess of the 5 MPH speed limit, police said. Upon further review, police said they determined he was intoxicated.
He was transported to police headquarters and held overnight for arraignment.
