Southold Police make pair of DWI arrests

Southold Police announced a pair of unrelated drunk driving arrests Thursday night and early Friday morning.
Benjamin Schwartz, 51, of Fleetwood Road in Cutchogue was arrested after a bicyclist reported seeing a possibly intoxicated man operating a vehicle in the King Kullen parking lot ahortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, police said. Mr. Schwartz failed several roadside sobriety tests after being stopped, police said.
Salvatore Naro, 49, of Locust Valley was also charged with DWI after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Pike Street in Mattituck, police said.
Both men were held over night for arraignment Friday, police said.
