Southold man crashes car fleeing domestic dispute

A 48-year-old Southold man was arrested early Tuesday morning after fleeing the scene of a domestic dispute and crashing his car, Southold Police said.
Evan Weingold of Lower Road was driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle without a license, when police say he crashed his car near Daniel Gale Sotheby’s on Main Road.
Mr. Weingold suffered minor injuries and was held overnight at police headquarters, following his release from Eastern Long Island Hospital. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and operating an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle.
Police said Mr. Weingold had “several warrants” outstanding in his name from the Suffolk County Police Department.
