Send in the clowns (and camels and tigers and jugglers)

Following a time-honored summer tradition, the Cole Brothers Circus of the Stars pitched its big top on Greenport’s Polo Grounds for shows last Wednesday and Thursday. The twice-daily performances included three-ring standards such as the Flying Ponces, Mr. and Mrs. Clown’s Wacky Taxi Trip and Super Kellan, the human cannonball. The Greenport Fire Department hosted the circus to benefit its fire safety education efforts.
