Man charged with assault during Maritime festival

Moments after the altercation, police arrived on the
scene.

One man was was arrested and another seriously injured after two 17-year-old Greenport residents got into a fight on Front Street during the Greenport Maritime Festival Saturday afternoon.

Southold Police charged William Mokus with misdemeanor assault. The other teen, who was not charged,  suffered a dislocated shoulder and other injuries, according to police.
