* ‘Partly Cloudy – Chance of Rain’ by Max Moran will be the featured exhibit in the carriage house gallery at Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport Sept. 5 – Oct. 11. An opening reception will take place Sunday, Sept. 5, 4 to 8 p.m., at which an auction will be held for a master cooking class by chef Keith Luce and accommodations at the inn for 10 people. Auction proceeds will benefit Mr. Moran’s favorite local nonprofit, East End Disability Associates Inc. according to a release.

* The 10th annual Harvest of the Arts featuring work by artist Patricia McCarthy will open with a reception Friday, Sept. 3, 7 to 9 p.m., at First Universalist Church in Southold. The event continues Sept. 4-6 with an art show and sale. On Sunday, Sept. 5, Joe McKay will discuss “The Arts: Objects of My Perception” at 10:30 a.m., and a poetry reading will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.

SBlt ‘Scenes from a Book’ a juried photography show, will open Friday, Sept. 3, wit a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the East End Arts Council in Riverhead. Artists were asked to depict a scene from any book in a photo or photo manipulation.

* A new group show at L’Orangerie Fine Art Gallery in Greenport will open Saturday, Sept. 4, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. and run through Sept. 19. The show will features work by Carolyn Francis, Gina Gilmour, Christopher Jarrett and Joni Scully.

* Diane Alec Smith will be the featured artist at Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue during September. Ms. Smith’s watercolors feature landscapes and waters on the North Fork.
