Greenport football picks up first win

The Greenport football team picked up its first win of the season Friday in a 35-6 rout at Wyandanch (1-1).

Quarterback Mike Mangiemele threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran in one more for the Porters (1-1). Receiver Yianni Rauseo caught both touchdown passes, one for 78 yards and the other from 10 yards out.

Running back Tom Filipkowski ran for two touchdown scores, the longest a 35-yard sprint in the first quarter.

Chris Shantz had eight tackles and two sacks to lead the defense for Greenport, which next plays at home Friday against Mount Sinai (1-1).
