Through my husband’s involvement with the Wounded Warrior Project, we were among those riding with the soldiers around the North Fork on Saturday. I think I can speak for everyone involved that it was an amazing, unforgettable experience. The soldiers’ determination and the support of people along the route made everyone go the extra mile. Some adventurous cyclists, including Southold Fire Department members Mike Franke and Kent Layton, went on to Orient for the 50-mile course. Thanks to all who made this day such a success.

‘Another intimate gathering with Father Peter Garry” (a direct quote from him) was held last Saturday evening. A large tent on the back lawn of St. Patrick Church was filled to capacity as Father Garry was installed as the new pastor of the parish. We welcome him to the church and the community.
