The victim, who was taken to ELIH by the Greenport Fire Department rescue squad, reported that two 17 and 18-year-old sisters had asked him to come to the beach. Police spoke to the women after the incident and reported that they admitted to calling the victim down to the beach so that an unknown friend of theirs could beat him up because they believed the victim was making advances toward their 15-year-old sister. A K-9 police officer and his dog found 91 cents in change and a pack of gum belonging to the victim on the beach but did not find his assailant. The victim did not want to press charges against the sisters.
