WORTH NOTING Fun on the farm

For an authentic country-fair experience, you can’t beat Hallockville Museum Farm’s annual Fall Festival and Craft Show, set this year for the weekend of Sept. 18 and 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, rain or shine.

This one has it all: antique cars, tractor pulls, farm animals, hayrides, model railroad exhibits, music, craft vendors, food, children’s games and tours of historic buildings. There will also be an on-site farmers market with local produce and wines and demonstrations of traditional crafts like basketweaving, spinning and woodcarving.

The fall festival is Hallockville’s largest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds support its educational programming and mission, so come on down! Admission, which covers both days of this family-oriented event, is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and kids under 12, and $18 for a family of four.
