Mattituck-Laurel: Ghosts and goblins abound

‘Pixie, kobold, elf, and sprite, All are on their rounds tonight; In the wan moon’s silver ray, Thrives their helter-skelter play.”
With Halloween falling on a Sunday this year, there are sure to be many odd and curious creatures knocking on doors. If you want to watch a parade of ghosts, goblins, princesses and the like, the Mattituck Fire Department and Lions Club will co-host its annual Halloween parade on Sunday beginning at the firehouse at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this spectacle of children delighting in the holiday’s scary and often funny array of costumes.
The Mattituck-Cutchogue PTSA invites you to a spooky Halloween fundraiser Friday evening, Oct. 29, sponsored by Krupski’s Farm in Peconic. Elementary age children are invited from 5 to 7 p.m. and older kids are welcome from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is a discounted $5 per person. This is the second year the Krupski family has generously reduced the cost to provide this scary, entertaining evening for kids.
