Helen J. Pellicio

Helen J. Pellicio of Southold died at her home on Friday, Nov. 26, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old.
Born Oct. 4, 1919, in Milltown, N.J., to Nicholas and Anna (née Berada) Romaneck, she had been an administrative assistant for Grumman Aircraft in Bethpage.

Formerly of Roosevelt and Amityville, Ms. Pellicio had been a member of St. Martin of Tours Parish in Amityville and a communicant of St. Patrick R.C. Parish in Southold.

Predeceased by her husband, Ralph Pellicio, and son-in-law, Wilbur D. Pettit, she was the loving mother of Josephine (Jo) Pettit of Southold and Barbara and John Walston of Ringwood, N.J.; cherished grandmother of Stacy Pettit and David Moll of Massapequa, Kristen Pettit of Islip Terrace, David Pettit and Elizabeth Niemi-Pettit of Amityville, Jeannine Walston of Sausalito, Calif., and John and Megan Walston of Delmar, N.Y.; and great-grandmother of Emily and Nikki Moll, Joseph and Lucy Pettit and James, Anna and Mae Walston.

The family received friends Sunday and Monday, Nov. 28 and 29, at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 30, at St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold by Father Joseph D’Angelo and Father Peter Garry. Interment followed at St. Patrick R.C. Cemetery.
